Geoffery Kehrig has been named the winner of the Green Shirt Day 2025 design contest for his powerful and heartfelt tribute to organ donation awareness. A native of Humboldt, Saskatchewan, and a devoted hockey fan, Geoffery was deeply moved by the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash and Logan Boulet’s life-saving organ donation, which sparked the national “Logan Boulet Effect.” His design, inspired by the selflessness of both Logan and Terry Fox, features an image of Logan taking a slap shot, resembling a hockey jersey logo. The design honors Logan’s legacy, the Broncos, and the spirit of organ donation.

Green Shirt Day merchandise, including Geoffery’s winning commemorative T-shirt design and hockey jerseys, is available for purchase, with proceeds supporting awareness efforts. Additionally, posters featuring Geoffery’s artwork are free to download to help spread the message of organ donation. On April 7th, Canadians are encouraged to wear their Green Shirt Day T-shirts or hockey jerseys to spark conversations and inspire others to register as organ donors.
