Tims Smile Cookie Week in Lethbridge in Support of Green Shirt Day

Smile Cookie Week Launches in Lethbridge in Support of Green Shirt Day, the Logan Boulet Endowment Fund, and the Canadian Transplant Association

Lethbridge, AB — A week of kindness, community spirit, and meaningful impact begins April 27 as Tim Hortons locations across Lethbridge launch their annual Smile Cookie campaign in support of Green Shirt Day, the Logan Boulet Endowment Fund, and the Canadian Transplant Association.

To mark the start of the campaign, members of the media are invited to attend a special kick-off event:

The event will feature special guest decorators, including Lethbridge Mayor Blaine Hyggen and Paris Olympian and 3×3 basketball standout Kacie Bosch, who will be lending their creativity—and friendly competition—to decorating Smile Cookies. Bernie and Toby Boulet will also be on hand alongside local Tim Hortons restaurant owners, offering guidance and support as the campaign gets underway.

Media are encouraged to attend, capture visuals, and connect with participants to help share the story behind this impactful initiative.

A Cookie with a Purpose

From April 27 to May 3, all 15 Tim Hortons locations in Lethbridge will participate in Smile Cookie Week, with 100% of proceeds from each $2 cookie supporting Green Shirt Day’s national awareness efforts, the Logan Boulet Endowment Fund through the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta, and the Canadian Transplant Association.

Each chocolate chip cookie, hand-decorated with a smile, represents more than a sweet treat—it’s a symbol of hope, generosity, and the power of community.

Honouring Logan Boulet’s Legacy

Proceeds from the campaign help continue the legacy of Logan Boulet, whose decision to register as an organ donor inspired more than 150,000 Canadians to do the same following the 2018 Humboldt Broncos tragedy. Known as the “Logan Boulet Effect,” this movement continues to spark life-saving conversations across the country.

Smile Cookie Week provides an opportunity to keep those conversations going—encouraging Canadians to register their decision and share it with their families.

A Community Effort

This year’s campaign is powered by the dedication of the Boulet family, local Tim Hortons owners, and more than 160 volunteers who will help decorate cookies throughout the week. Their collective efforts highlight the compassion and generosity that define the Lethbridge community.

  • Wear your official Green Shirt Day t-shirt—or any green shirt—to show your support
  • Purchase a Smile Cookie (or a few to share) from Tim Hortons
  • Snap a photo or video and share it on social media
  • Use hashtags: #TimsSmileCookie #LoganBouletEffect #GreenShirtDay

Businesses, schools, and sports teams are especially encouraged to get involved by organizing group participation, wearing green together, and helping spread awareness in their communities.
